  • Auto Negligence: a verdict of $1,825,000 for a 37-year-old woman and her husband injured when struck from behind on the Florida Turnpike suffering a herniated discs and requiring a bilateral cervical fusion surgery.
  • Class Action Involving A Product Defect: we recovered a settlement of $15,000,000 for a class of individuals who were damaged by a manufacturer who sold televisions to the public with defective parts and failed to repair or replace the televisions.
  • Disability Claim: we reached a settlement for $4,000,000 for the beneficiary of a disability policy by an insurance company that terminated disability benefits. The lawsuit resulted in the restoration of all future benefits, including past payments.
  • Class Action: we reached a $4,000,000 settlement on behalf of physicians in the State of Florida when an HMO failed to properly and timely pay healthcare providers.
  • Truck Negligence: a wrongful death settlement of $3,200,000 for the family of a person who was killed in an accident caused by a tractor-trailer that ran a red light.
  • Insurance Claim: federal court settlement of $450,000 for a hurricane claim which had been denied by an insurance company.
  • Hospital Negligence: $3,100,000 settlement on behalf of a woman who suffered brain damage after being deprived of oxygen during a hospital procedure.
  • Truck Negligence: $2,150,000 wrongful death settlement on behalf of the surviving families of two people who were killed by a tractor-trailer that was traveling too fast and jack-knifed.
  •  Wrongful Death: $2,500,000 we reached a settlement for the wrongful death of a 67-year-old man who died as a result of medical negligence. Discovery disclosed that the treating doctor had inadequate training with a machine that was not designed for the treatment of pulmonary emboli.
  • Auto Negligence: $450,000 we reached a settlement for a 66-year-old pedestrian who suffered a tibial plateau fracture after being struck by a motor vehicle.
  • Medical Malpractice: we recovered a settlement of $2,100,000 on behalf of a family in a case against a physician and hospital for failure to monitor blood pressure resulting in a stroke and subsequent vegetative state.
  • Auto Negligence: settlement for $1,650,000 for family members for the death of their parents caused by a driver of a company vehicle crossing the roadway and striking their vehicle.
  • Age Discrimination: $1,050,000 we recovered a settlement after filing a claim on behalf of a client who was terminated from his job on the basis of his age.
  • Lawyer Malpractice: $950,000 settlement against a lawyer who was negligent in having a Will improperly signed causing it to be declared invalid.
  • Medical Negligence: $975,000 settlement against an oral surgeon who failed to properly diagnose and treat a tumor.
  • Slip and Fall: settlement for a 50-year-old who slipped and fell on cruise ship stairs and underwent spine surgery. Cruise ship denied claim and discovery showed that nonskid strip on the stair was dangerous when wet.
  • Nursing Home Neglect: we filed a claim and reached a settlement of $450,000 on behalf of the survivor of an elderly relative who was mistreated.
  •  Life Insurance Claim: settlement for $350,000 for the survivor against a life insurance company that failed to pay the beneficiary of the policy.
  • Medical Negligence: settlement for $275,000 against a physician who failed to diagnose breast cancer.
  • Sexual Harassment: $450,000 settlement for a woman who was sexually harassed on the job.
  • Nursing Home Neglect: $575,000 we represented an elderly woman who suffered unnecessary falls and a fractured hip.
  • Pharmacy Negligence: $675,000 settlement against a major pharmaceutical company for the misfiling of a prescribed medication by the pharmacist which caused serious injuries and hospitalization.
  • Defective Product: $1,750,000 settlement against several companies who assisted in the manufacture, distribution, and quality control of a product that assists individuals who have received medical care in surgery.
  • Pregnancy Discrimination: $365,000 settlement on behalf of a former employee who was improperly discharged while 6 1/2 months pregnant.
  • National Origin Discrimination: $300,000 settlement reached on behalf of a former employee who was improperly discharged relating to our client’s National Origin and Race.
  • Premises Liability: $690,000 verdict reached for a client who fell and was injured because a restaurant failed to properly clean and monitor a well-traveled area in the restaurant.
  • Bad Faith: a client was injured in a motor vehicle, intersectional accident by a driver with only $100,000 in insurance coverage. The firm obtained a verdict of $1,075,000.
  • Bad Faith: a client was injured in an accident where an adverse driver denied running a red light.  His insurance company only had $10,000 in insurance coverage and refused to tender the insurance policy.  After litigating the case the firm recovered more than $200,000 for our client, who injured her hip in the accident.
  • Bad Faith: a client had $200,000 in uninsured motorist coverage available, but her insurance company only offered $75,000 to settle the case.  The firm filed a civil remedies notice with the insurance commissioner and after trial and appeal, recovered over $1,750,000. for the client, who had undergone a cervical fusion as a result of the accident.

  • Sexual Abuse: settlement for several survivors of the sexual abuse by the supervisor of the Police Explorer Program. The perpetrator is surviving a life sentence and the survivors received over $1,500,000 collectively.
  • Sexual Abuse – a verdict of $5,200,000 for the victim of sexual abuse. The verdict was against the perpetrator who was a family member and his company. The perpetrator is presently incarcerated.

  • Sexual Assault – a verdict of $1,250,000 for the victim of sexual assault. The victim was attacked by her immediate supervisor in his office. The verdict was against a hotel chain for their negligence. The perpetrator is presently incarcerated.

  • Sexual Abuse – a confidential settlement of $1,000,000 for the minor victim of sexual abuse by a deacon at her church. The settlement is confidential. The perpetrator is presently incarcerated.

  • Sexual Abuse – a confidential settlement of $825,000 for the victim of sexual abuse by a staff member of a cruise ship. Unfortunately, the staff member was a foreign national and is avoiding law enforcement.

  • Birth Injury/Trauma – a verdict in the amount of $1,750,000 for a child who was deprived of oxygen at birth and suffered significant neurological and physical complications.

  • Birth Injury/Trauma – a confidential settlement in the amount of $1,500,000 for a child born with serious complications as a result of failing to diagnose issues in the pre-natal stage.
