Local police as well as the The Oklahoma Department of Human Services were alerted of separate incidents.

Abuse of the elderly happens in Florida too

While these examples of abuse occurred in Oklahoma, they are indicative of abuse claims of elderly nursing home patients here in Florida.

Sadly, Florida nursing home residents face sexual abuse and physical abuse as well. In fact, our lawyers speak regularly with both victims and their families about the abuse they’ve suffered.

The stories of abuse are not easy to hear.

Just recently near Jacksonville Florida, 2 nursing home workers were arrested for abusing a blind, 85 year old resident.

Imagine finding out about a loved one’s experience in a place where they were supposed to be cared for and protected. Imagine the fear and pain these older adults feel when abused by someone they’ve put their trust into.
